Paal Kozhukattai/Gluten-Free Dessert(Ganesha Chaturthi 2016)

Paal Kozhukattai:

This dish prepared during ¬†vinayaka chaturthi festival as a special food..! This dish is prepared by mixing rice flour with the hot water and shape them into small balls/small cylindrical shape; then cook them in the boiling water; them make them like a creamy rice flour with floating rice balls; they usually add jaggery but in this video i am adding brown sugar instean. Introduction:

Ingredients:

2 cups of Rice Flour

Required water (Luke Warm Water)

Salt to taste

2 tbs. Shredded Cocconut

1 cup Brown Sugar

1 and 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder (you can also use 5-6 whole Cardamom instead)

Tips:

To make rice paal kozhukattai, please go ahead and add coconut milk to the mixture. You can also add ghee which is seasoned with some chopped nuts and pour on top of it while serving. You can also replace jaggery ¬†or white sugar instead of brown sugar. (Please try to avoid white sugar as much as possible, it not healthy..! It’s will slowly kill our body )
