Poondu/Garlic Rasam Recipe:

Rasam is a South Indian soup, traditionally prepared using tamarind juice as a base, with the addition of tomato, chili pepper, pepper, cumin, garlic and other spices as seasonings.

Rasam is kind of spice soup; In tamil rasam means “Juice”. It can refer to any juice, but rasam commonly refers to soup prepared with tamarind or tomato juice with added spices and garnish.

Rasam can be a best food during cold and chest congestion times. Rasam rice is a very best homemade remedy for babies cold too, mash the rice; then add few rasam soup and serve. Here i am showing the Pundu Rasam Recipe for kids video to make less spicy rasam. Feel free to add more peppers and red chillies to make spicy rasam for Adults.

Ingredients:

Hand full of garlic (if it is big )

2 tomatoes chopped roughly

1 String Curry Leaves

4 String Coriander Leaves

13 Black Pepper

1 tsp. Cumin Seeds

1 tsp. Mustard Seeds

1/2 tsp. Uluntha Paruppu/ Urad Dal/ White Lentils/ Splited Black Gram Skinless

Lemon Size Tamarind (soak in a luke warm water)
