Methu Vadai Recipe

Methu Vadai:

Vada/Vadai is a traditional South Indian food. As well as being commonly prepared at home, Vada/Vadai are popular items in street stalls and in railway stations(including the Indian Railways). They are eaten throughout the day but most commonly as a part of breakfast alongside idlis with sambar and Venpongal. Vada are generally prepared from a thick batter of Black gram.

Ingredients:

1 cup Uluntham paruppu/Urad Dal/Split Black gram (skinless)/White Lentils

2 tbs. Raw Rice

1 Medium Size Red Onion (Optional)

1 and 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper Powder (You can also add whole pepper)

Salt to Taste

Oil for frying purpose

2 String Chopped Coriander Leaves

Few Curry Leaves
