Butter Sev Diwali/Deepavali Snack Recipe:
Butter Sev, is one of the popular snack in South India. There are many sev varieties are available in Indian Store, each one has its own flavor. This Butter sev has a nutty buttery flavor which is very easy to make. To make this recipe we must need the sev maker with the star plat to attain the perfect traditional shape.
But don’t worry if you don’t have any sev maker!!!! You can make Uppu Seedai (which is also popular sanck) means making a small balls and deep fry them and you are DONE..!!!. NOTE: It’s very important to note if you decided to make uppu seedsai; make sure not to press tight to make a small ball size, press gentle, use only 3 finger to make a balls and then fry them..! soon i will try to upload the uppu seedai vedio for your references. So now i am going to show you one of the most easiest butter sev recipe. In North India they make butter chakli out of the same butter sev dough with the same star shape plate sev maker. They make the shape which is exactly same like mullu murukku. In North India they call it as Butter chakli and in South India, we call it as Butter Mullu Murukku. 2 Cups of Store Bought Rice Flour
1 and 1/2 cups of Water (to make a dough)
Oil for Frying Purpose (use healthy oil ti fry them, i used Sunflower oil)
1 tsp. Cumin Seeds
1 tsp. Asafoetida Powder
1/2 tbs. Salt/ to taste
2 tbs. Melted Butter
