Ivy Gourd/Tindora/Coccinia Grandis Fry:

2 cup chopped Ivy Gourd
1 tbs. Oil
½ tsp. Mustard Seeds
½ tsp. Caraway Seeds
½ tsp. Split Black Gram/ Urad Dal/ Ulundhu
2 Red Chilies
1 tsp. Minced Garlic
1 tsp. Coriander Seeds
½ tsp. Red Chili Powder
½ tsp. Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
- In the Frying pan; add oil followed by mustard seeds, caraway seeds, split black gram and red chilies; then add minced garlic and chopped ivy gourd.
- Then add the salt and all the masala powder; add required water; cover it with lid and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Then once the ivy gourd is cooked and all the water gets evaporated; turn off the heat.
- Serve with ramsam rice/ sambar rice; Thanks .
Don’t overcook the ivy gourd; stir occasionally to avoid burning.
